Hilary Opheim Pilates Post Grads 2024 Programs

Continuing your Pilates journey and being a part of the Hilary Opheim Pilates community for any Pilates teachers wanting to continue to explore, learn, and grow in their teaching journey. Each month a focused group discussion, workshop, and opportunities to get deeper into teaching skills, Joseph Pilates's work, and more.

Each session is 2 or 4 hours and it includes the workshop, handouts, and homework. 2- 4 CECs per workshop!

For teachers that can’t make it live, you can still participate! All workshops will be online via Zoom and recorded. You will be given full access to the workshop, all homework and projects, and handouts. The link will be given to you after the Workshop.

Yearly will be 16 CECs

January 16 Noon PST- Teaching moments- Let’s discuss your most difficult moments in teaching clients. Bringing the issues to the group of your clients such as disc issues, shoulder, osteoarthritis etc.

Pricing:

Yearly- Attend all 12 group meets- $600

6 Months- Pick 6 out of the year to attend- $300

A La Carte- Pick when you want, the month you want! For workshops that are 2 CEC price is $55 and for the 4 CEC workshops $100 (Venmo @hilary-opheim if you prefer)

January Teaching moments-Let’s discuss your most difficult moments in teaching clients. Bringing the issues to the group of your clients such as disc issues, shoulder, osteoarthritis etc.

Feb 20th - Key Concepts- What does it take to get your client to a certain movement? Something as simple as understanding Elephant to having the tools/connections in their body to do inversions?

March - Simple teaching makes Client work harder- Does your client ask Where should I be feeling this? what is this for?

April - Common challenges with clients from listening, jumping ahead, chatting, cancelling, paying on time. How do you take control ?

May in LA with 2 Pilates chicks- working with clients in pain- How do you deal with clients who have chronic pain, say that what they did last week in the studio hurt them, are fearful of doing something “as it will make them hurt?”. Is it pain? fear of pain? how far do you push or not?

June 20- Building that session-Ever wonder how to successfully build your session for your client after your Assessment or to get to that final “challenging” movement for the end of the session? 4 CEC’s

July 11 - Look at the Work- Digging deep into the details and movement of exercises. The why, how, and purpose of the exercise and how it relates to the body you are teaching. 2 CEC’s

August 22- Letting your client be your guide- Do you listen to what the client is telling you in the first moments or 30 minutes of their practice? Not only with their words but their body? Let’s look at taking those opportunities as a teacher and getting that client to places they should be going. Based on the information they are giving! 4 CECs

September 26- Common Problems in Teaching Certain exercises- Do you have a struggle with certain Pilates movements and getting your client to understand what you are wanting them to do, feel and connect with?

October 17 - What is missing for you in your Teaching? As a group getting guidance and help in your Teaching whatever that challenge seems to be.

November 7 - How is the work all related? Digging deeper into connections throughout the work. How can one make the other happen?

December - Question and Answer Yearly Discussion- Full open discussion on things that can range from teaching, scheduling, clients, mentoring, workshops, how-to, burnout, etc.
